ApproachesReport a Right-of-Way Issue NEW Concrete extending into the County right-of-way has created problems in the past, so Bingham County has made the following policy. It is has been Bingham County's policy for several years that all concrete driveways must terminate at the property line. All driveways from the property line to the edge of the road may be either gravel or asphalt. Some asphalt driveways have concrete curbs along the sides. These curbs also need to terminate at the property line. Cement driveways that extend into the road right-of-way can cause extensive damage to snow removal equipment. The road edge and the driveway are often at two different slopes coming from different angles. This can cause damage to both the cement driveway and the snowplows if the blades or edges of the equipment make contact with the cement. Owners of non-compliant driveways may be held responsible for the damage incurred to snow removal equipment.
