BINGHAM COUNTY ORDINANCES

Bingham County Ordinances are laws adopted by the county commissioners.  Ordinances have effect everywhere within the county, except within the city limits.  Currently, Bingham County's ordinances are not in an easily researchable format.  One of the many goals of the Prosecuting Attorney is to have the ordinances in a number-system format for easy reference and research by the public and government officials.  Once that is done, the ordinance will be posted and available on this web site or elsewhere on the county's website.  Until then, the ordinances that draw the most attention can be viewed by clicking the hyperlink at the beginning of this paragraph.

PUBLIC RECORDS INSPECTION REQUESTS

Idaho's Public Records Laws are found in Idaho Code 9-335 through 9-348.  These laws govern public access to government records.  Idaho's public writing laws function in a similar fashion to the Federal Freedom of Information Act.

The Idaho Attorney General's Office has a legal manual available regarding the public meeting laws.  You can obtain a downloadable copy of the pamphlet from the Attorney General's web site by clicking the link the previous sentence.

The Bingham County Prosecutors Office requires all requests to inspect government records to be in writing.  The Request To Inspect Public Records form is available at the Prosecutor's Office or can be downloaded from this site by clicking this link to the
