Bingham County is a charming and thriving community consisting of 2,123 square miles conveniently nestled in the southeastern corner of Idaho. The friendliness of the people, and the fascinating history of the region offer limitless possibilities for fun and entertainment. There are six incorporated towns located within Bingham County. The communities of Shelley, Firth, Blackfoot, Aberdeen, Basalt and Atomic City.

The Bingham County Sheriff's Office is comprised of 71 sworn officers. The department provides a variety of services including, a Patrol Division for enforcement and providing assistance to citizens, Dispatch Division which provides communication to emergency service personnel and the community, Detention Division which ensures the safety of the inmates, staff and the community, Drivers License Division, which processes all identifications that are issued in Bingham County, Civil Division which performs Civil Process service, a Detective Division which is on call 24hrs a day to provide Crime Scene Investigations.
