The Bingham County Communications Center is currently staffed with eleven full time dispatchers .  The Bingham County Communications Center is responsible for dispatching Bingham County Patrol Officers, Blackfoot Patrol Officers, Shelley Police Department, Blackfoot Fire/Ambulance Department, Shelley Fire Department, Shelley Quick Response and the Firth Fire Department.

The Radio Operator dispatches patrol units using radio, and other methods in accordance with the urgency of requests for service.

The Telephone Operator receives and processes telephone requests from citizens.  A 911 dispatcher must make independent decisions, which affects the safety of officers, emergency services personnel and the community, which includes determining the urgency of requests received and the appropriate actions to take.
