The Bingham County Communications Center is currently staffed with eleven full time dispatchers. The Communication Center serves as a support entity for dispatching personnel for the Bingham County Sheriff's Office, Blackfoot Police Department, Shelley Police Department, Blackfoot Fire/Ambulance, Shelley Fire Department, Shelley Quick Response and the Firth Fire Department. |
The Communications Center is the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Blackfoot and the surrounding communities within Bingham County. The Communications Center has the responsibility to staff and answer, on a 24-hour basis, the telephones and radios upon which calls for service are received. This includes 911 emergency calls (police, fire and EMT's.) Whether you call 911 or the non-emergency line (208)785-1234, you will speak with a highly trained dispatcher. |
