

The Driver License Division personnel gather, record, and maintain vital statistics information on all Idaho driver license holders; issue new licenses; re-issue lost or stolen licenses; issue and reissue state identification cards, and collect fees associated with these services.
The Drivers License Division is located within the Law Enforcement section of the Bingham County Courthouse located at 501 N Maple, Blackfoot, Idaho. Citizens may contact the Drivers License Division at (208)782-3041 for answers to their driver license needs. The hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.


1st TIME DRIVERS LICENSE * OR I.D. CARD:
You will need a certified copy of your birth certificate
Social Security Card
Photo Identification
Proof of Idaho Residency
*If under 18-birth parent must sign liability & must be an active student, have diploma, or equivalent. Sixteen or under must have completed Drivers training course.
DRIVER TRAINING STUDENTS MUST MAKE APPOINTMENTS FOR BOTH WRITTEN AND ROAD TESTS.
Written tests-appointments through 782-3041 between 9a.m and 4p.m.

For drivers coming in from another state with a driver's license from that state, you must bring your existing license along with a utility bill, lease or rental agreement or paycheck. It must have your name, and your new Idaho address on it and you must be prepared to take the Idaho written exam. Be sure to come in during the appropriate hours.
